My name is Josh and I grew up in Hamilton, Ontario. As a young man, I wasn’t always making the best decisions and found myself heading down the wrong path. I first became involved with Liberty For Youth at the age of 12 years old. Liberty For Youth stepped in and helped me stay out of trouble.
In 2018, I completed a co-op placement with Liberty For Youth, which lead to a paid summer internship position. My position required me to serve on Liberty For Youth’s event committee in preparation for their annual Eagle Ride Motorcycle Fundraiser. I gained valuable experience during my time working at Liberty For Youth and have stayed connected ever since.
My role on the Liberty For Youth, youth council entails researching the effects that the COVID pandemic has had on Indigenous youth, sharing my findings, and providing solutions of improvement. I feel that being of Indigenous decent, will assist me in providing a deeper perspective from members of my own community.
