Tanya

Tanya Dryden is a born and raised Hamiltonian. She grew up in a highly industrialized and poverty-stricken area of Hamilton. Tanya attended Mohawk College for Enterprise Business after receiving life-altering mentorship. Upon graduating, she enjoyed a rewarding career at Mohawk College. During this time, Tanya married Frederick Dryden and felt passionate to join Frederick in his pursuit of starting Liberty For Youth. She has won the 2014-2015 Community Leadership Award from the Junior League of Hamilton/Burlington and the Nation Builder Award for Flamborough-Glanbrook in 2017.

Tanya’s heartbeat for youth is to facilitate healing and restoration of the spirit and soul. She believes by increasing the level of hope and joy in the youth acts of anger, violence, bullying, self-harm, and shame will reduce. It is her dream to open a rural program centre where inner city youth can experience the serenity of nature. The youth will build bonds with horses and other farm animals while learning about the value of trees, water, and soil.
