Heather grew up in Hamilton, where she always had a calling to help others in any area of need. She began assisting people with physical limitations so they could live independently in their own homes. She wanted to expand her abilities, so she attended Mohawk College to become a Personal Support Worker. After years of working in long-term care, she wanted to continue her journey of growth and desire to work with people of all ages. She was privileged to work as a Developmental Support Worker with a variety of ages and unique behaviors.
Heather wanted to stretch her hands further and had the privilege to serve on two mission trips in the Dominican Republic. Attending the first on her own, then later attending the second with her family. She believes it was an amazing experience for her teenagers to be able to serve other families who needed love and support. Now, Heather feels passionate about having the opportunity to serve the clients at Liberty For Youth.
