We are hiring a Program Facilitator to facilitate The Bright Choices program geared to female youth. 
The Role: 
15 hours Weekly 
Evenings & Weekends; Daytime availability an asset 
Reporting to the Program Coordinator & Executive Director, the Program Facilitator contributes to the overall success of LFY by bringing their expertise and experience to the organization, effectively 
Implementing & scheduling programs geared to female youth enrolled at Liberty For Youth 
Adapting programming in response to youth needs in collaboration with the Program Coordinator 
Documenting and evaluating programming outcomes 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 
Schedule and administer mentorship lead activities/lesson plans for youth enrolled in Liberty For Youth 
Transport youth to and from programming locations, Liberty For Youth functions & special events of community partners, funders and stakeholders 
Communicate effectively with youth to determine their needs and interests, as well as with all other individuals she interacts with in Liberty For Youth 
Remain acutely aware of the needs of the youth as a priority while effectively managing communications with all others involved (ex. Family, Probation Officers, Principals, Police Officers, Correctional Officers etc.) 
Help youth develop action plans (ex. create resume, high school completion plan etc.) 
Ensure program information is accessible to appropriate individuals and concerned parties without breaching confidentiality 
Record information on Liberty For Youth’s matrix tool for reports and program impact concerning youth programs, costs, impact, numbers of participants, and equipment and facility use 
Provide ongoing reports about youth programs success and opportunities to Program Coordinator 
Ensure that all programs and activities are implemented according to relevant legislation, policies, procedures and best practices 
Perform other related duties as required (ex. Attend fundraising events, and adjust duties to best suit the success of the event. Since the changing nature of the work and the present environment in which we operate, responsibilities and duties may require adjustment to the job description). 
Education and Training: 
Minimum 2 year College Diploma 
Have a Vulnerable Sector Police check that returns with no offences, charges or sentences 
Trained in Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behaviour 
Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence 
Computer and Software Proficiency 
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites – Word, Excel and PowerPoint an asset 
Willingness to learn and adapt to new software programs 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience 
Ability to connect with female youth 
Team building skills 
Analytical and problem solving skills 
Critical decision making skills 
Effective communications skills 
Time management and multi-tasking skills 
Experience working within the arena of disadvantaged youth and youth at risk an asset

Working Conditions 
The Program Facilitator will: 
Deliver programming geared to female youth in a variety of locations 
Support youth in court, detention centres, and/or crisis situations 
Be knowledgeable in sports, recreation and/or creative activities 
Special Projects 
Takes on special projects, and events as requested 
Criminal Record Check is Required – Clear Record is Required.

We provide prevention and intervention mentorship for at-risk youth. Guided by principles of Faith, Hope, and Love we are open to all youth who need a helping hand. We are currently taking referrals for suspended or expelled youth, youth with failing grades, youth on probation, youth involved in gangs and those who feel trapped in negative environments.
